Small Claims
If you believe you are owed money or the return of personal property, you can sue that person or business in Small Claims Court for $35,000 or less.
If what you are owed is more than $35,000, you can still file in Small Claims Court if you are willing to waive the amount over $35,000.
This can include contract disputes, defective workmanship, collection of unpaid accounts, property disputes, judgment enforcement, and claims for damages, such as: property damage, clothes damaged by a dry cleaner, personal injuries, breach of contract, etc.
